Get Rich Selling Pot--How the Legalization of Marijuana Will Affect Weed Economics

Get Rich Selling Pot

Ever wonder how someone can get rich selling weed?  Well, if marijuana is legalized, that may be a lot more difficult for the average person.

Can you imagine someone smoking weed at a gas station and watching a police officer not give them a ticket? Believe me, I saw someone smoking marijuana at a gas station, but there were no policemen around? On November 2, 2010 California residents will be voting on Proposition 19, which could legalize the possession and use of marijuana in California. There have already been other states that have legalized medical marijuana such as Alaska, Colorado, DC, Hawaii, Maine, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington according to Procon.org. California would be the first state to make it legal for anyone over 21 to use marijuana as long as you're not driving while under the influence of weed. It is good for marijuana smokers and bad for people who don't smoke weed. Some argue that marijuana doesn't make people dumb, won't kill people, and is actually known to help cure people. However those are the people that enjoy smoking marijuana.

People who smoke marijuana can pass drug tests by taking a drink that flushes out the body system within 24 hours and the marijuana shouldn't show up in the system. So if people are getting away with smoking marijuana, why not legalize it in the first place? But isn't marijuana smoke causing non-smokers headache. Who wants to smell marijuana on someone?

Imagine a man who has a marijuana license and plans to get rich off selling marijuana to medical patients. He can have up to five patients and he can grow and sell marijuana inside his home. What if men start to have weed homes, over the city, and leave the homes vacant full of marijuana? Is that something residents of California have to look forward to? The cost of marijuana is going to rise however, if marijuana becomes legalized it will be taxed, and it could cause revenue for the city. There are actually some poor cities that could have their cities turned around from selling marijuana. Thus being a positive reason for approving Proposition 19. The problem arises when one illegal drug is legalized; will that lead to other illegal drugs being legalized?
